Desert Prada

Some people in class were asking me about this last night, and yes it does exist. I myself was unaware of its existence until on my way to California I happened to pass it on a lonely stretch of desert highway, far from the interstate. It was a classic double take, pull the car over with a screeching halt type of moment.
The project was built to fade back into nature, and at some point the store looted and trashed. (artist statement or an excuse to abandon upkeep?) At any rate it makes a striking visual and it is very interesting how people have gravitated to it with their own forms of artistic ritualized expressions.
